Lee Tan is a qualified management accountant, business adviser, and trainer with over 30 years of experience in accountancy, corporate finance, business consulting, and executive education. Throughout his career, he has worked with organisations ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies.

He began his career with a London firm of Chartered Accountants before becoming Chief Accountant of the UK subsidiary of Cannon Group, one of Hollywood's largest independent film production and distribution groups at the time. In this role, he was involved in the financial management of international film productions and gained experience in film financing and tax-advantaged investment structures. He later built upon this foundation through corporate finance roles within the investment banking sector.

Lee subsequently worked as a Change Management Consultant and Trainer with The Miller Consulting Group, an Atlanta-based management consulting firm, delivering programmes for multinational organisations and Fortune 500 companies across a wide range of industries. He also received specialist training in Economic Value Added (EVA) from Stern Stewart & Co., the New York-based consulting firm that pioneered value-based management, and has facilitated EVA training programmes for Siemens and other multinational corporations.

In addition, Lee has designed and delivered financial literacy and finance-for-non-finance-manager programmes for senior managers and directors, helping business leaders improve their financial understanding, decision-making, and commercial awareness.

Today, Lee advises owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and entrepreneurs on accountancy, taxation, business planning, and financial management. He combines commercial experience gained from industry, banking, consulting, and training with practical advice tailored to the needs of growing businesses.

In addition to his advisory work, Lee is available to deliver finance-for-non-finance-manager, financial literacy, business performance, and value management training programmes for organisations seeking to strengthen commercial awareness and financial decision-making among managers and directors.

Our practice

Trusted, long-term advisers.

We act as long-term advisers to entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, SMEs, property investors and international clients — from start-ups to companies with annual turnover exceeding £10 million.

Most of our clients come to us by referral. That's the kind of practice we want to be — one where clients introduce us to others because the work is done properly and the advice is sound.

We are regulated and HMRC-registered, with full professional indemnity. We agree fees in advance, work in plain English, and explain the reasoning behind the advice we give.

If you've been let down by an accountant before — high bills, slow replies, jargon — we'd welcome the chance to change your mind.
